This technique specifically targets stiff and chronic areas of pain with slow concentrated strokes. This will often break adhesions to relieve pain and possibly restore normal body movement in those areas.


Myofascial Release

The myofascial release is a form of soft tissue therapy used to treat somatic dysfunction and resulting pain and restriction of motion. The use of continual palpatory feedback to achieve release of myofascial tissues accomplished by relaxing contracted muscles, increasing circulation and lymphatic drainage, and stimulating the stretch reflex of muscles and overlying fascia.


   Trigger Point Therapy
A trigger point is a hyperirritable spot that is painful. It is called a trigger point because it "triggers" a painful response. These points are often areas of chronic"holding" and you need to learn how to move in different ways to keep them from recurring. The treatment is often
times uncomfortable but effective.
